Who we are

CNX Properties is a family land-sale operation in Chiang Mai, Thailand, offering two freehold land plots for sale. For the purposes of Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019), we are the data controller for any personal data you send us. You can reach us at hello@cnxproperties.com.

What this site collects

We measure how this site is used, and we do it without keeping anything on your device that identifies you. There are no accounts and no sign-ups. Our analytics provider is PostHog, which records which pages are opened, which land plot they belong to, and which things are pressed — the videos, the photograph galleries, the map, the development ideas — so that we know which parts of the site are worth keeping. It sets no cookie and keeps no identifier in your browser's storage. Instead of an identifier held on your device, visits are counted using a value PostHog calculates on its own servers from your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, which means PostHog receives both, as our host already does. The calculation happens entirely on PostHog's servers, and this site is configured so that PostHog cannot identify you or build a profile of you. This site sets no cookies at all — not for measurement, and not for anything else. When you send the enquiry form, what you have written is submitted to our own server at cnxproperties.com and forwarded to us as an email. We keep no other copy of it: there is no database behind this site, and the email in our inbox is the only record. Of that, our analytics record only that an enquiry was begun and sent and which land plot it named — never your name, your address, your number or anything you typed.

When you contact us

If you email us or send the pre-filled enquiry, we receive your name, your email address, any phone number or company you choose to give, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, to discuss the land, and to arrange a viewing or send documents you have asked for. We do not sell, rent or share it with anyone for marketing.

Third parties

The site is hosted on Vercel, whose servers keep standard technical logs, including IP addresses, for security and performance. Our analytics are provided by PostHog, whose servers are in the European Union. The enquiry form is delivered to us by Resend, an email service whose servers are in the United States; what you write in the form passes through them to reach our inbox, and they retain a copy of the message they sent for a limited period, under Resend's privacy policy rather than ours. The message then arrives in our own inbox, which is hosted by Google Workspace. Google stores it on their servers, which are outside Thailand, under Google's privacy policy rather than ours, and it stays there until we delete it. The analytics requests are sent to cnxproperties.com/ingest and forwarded by our own server, so your browser never contacts a PostHog address directly — but our server passes on your IP address and user agent with them, and the data is processed by PostHog under PostHog's privacy policy rather than ours. The land videos are served from our own domain, so watching one sends nothing to any third party. The full films with sound download only when you press play; the short silent loops on the land plot pages load by themselves as you scroll to them. Land plot pages can show a Google map of the land, which loads only if you press “Load the map”, and the “Open in Google Maps” link takes you to Google's own site. In those two cases Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, governed by Google's privacy policy rather than ours. The footer links to our YouTube channel; that is an ordinary link, and nothing is requested from YouTube unless you follow it, at which point you are on Google's site under Google's privacy policy. Our fonts are served from our own domain, so displaying the site makes no request to Google for them.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence while the land is being offered for sale and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you contact us again, and then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, restrict or object to our use of it, and withdraw any consent you have given. Email hello@cnxproperties.com and we will respond within the period the law allows. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data — particularly if we change how analytics work or add a server-side enquiry form — we will update this page and change the date above.
